The question we get more than any other: will the ProPack fit in the overhead bin on my airline? So we checked. We compared the bag against the published cabin-bag limits of 98 airlines across North America, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific.
The short answer
Compressed, the ProPack measures 49 × 32 × 15 cm, and 20 cm deep with the expansion zip open. It fits the cabin limit of every airline we checked:
- 81 fit with room to spare, even expanded
- 17 fit, but with less than 3 cm spare when expanded. On these airlines, travel with it compressed.
Both styles, Plain Carry-On and Stitched Carry-On, are the same size, so the results apply whichever you choose and in every colour.
Where it gets tight
Most tight fits come from airlines with a 20 cm depth limit, such as Ryanair, Vueling, Korean Air, Air India and the big Chinese carriers. The ProPack meets that limit exactly when expanded, which leaves no margin, so keep it compressed. Qatar Airways is the one to watch for height: its 50 cm limit leaves just 1 cm.
Size isn't the only rule
On 15 of these airlines, mostly low-cost carriers, a full-size cabin bag is a paid extra or depends on your fare. Many also set a weight limit, often 7–10 kg, so weigh your bag before you leave.
